Week 10
Day 70
Christ and Prayer
Read John 17

This morning (or evening) I want you to do something VERY different. Find a private place, get down on your knees (unless you have knee problems or the floor is 35 degrees) and simply read line by line, Jesus’ longest recorded prayer, given just before His trial and crucifixion. Imagine Jesus praying that prayer, that night, with His disciples who had just had their feet washed by Christ and taken the first Lord’s Supper. After you read each phrase, ask God for greater clarity and personalize each line. (Example: “Father, the time has come…” “Lord, teach me to accept the things that come in Your timing; to wait when You say ‘wait’ and go when You say ‘go”’)
